HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY

Our Daddy turned 54 yesterday. And he's as wonderful, fun-loving, and fit as ever. He has all of girls just wrapped around his finger, just the way it should be.
Over the past few years I've discovered some things about my Dad that encourage me to only admire him more.
-He doesn't talk much about his past, if ever. But knowing the brokenness he came from before he met my Mom makes me understand his selflessness and motivation to work hard and love us so genuinely.
-He shows his love through actions, not words. [I totally get this from him. The avoidance of sharing your feelings in words. I would have rather done anything in the world for Christian than tell him how I was falling for him in the beginning! It seemed like torture. I'm growing though. I have to. After all C's love language is words of affirmation... of course.]
-There is no one who meets him that doesn't immediately love him! It is the most amazing thing. He has a personality that just draws people in and makes them feel important. I love that about him.
-He is the funniest man I know. Hands down. No one can make us girls laugh the way he does! And we love it, corny jokes and all.

I hope we never take for granted how special and beautiful it is to have a Father that loves us, and serves us, and shows Christ to us. We are the luckiest to have him. The absolute luckiest.
