A LIFE UPDATE

Where do I even begin?! First off, thank you all for your kind words and prayers for my Mom. I am overwhelmed with happiness to share that she is doing well. Her surgery was on Saturday, the morning before I left for Guatemala. It was a long, stressful, anxious, and emotional day. But when the doctor came in he gave us the best news we could have ever asked for. He went in to her brain where the tumor was supposed to be according to the x-rays, and did not find a tumor at all! Praise, praise, praise the Lord! However, her brain was definitely swollen and muggy, and he removed what he thought to be hundreds of mini aneurysms that all happened at the same time. Perhaps it had been a build up from years and years, or a sudden happening. We may never know. Either way though, she is healing and we are so thankful. She's been in rehab ever since the surgery to regain the strength in her left ligaments, and once she can walk and shower on her own she gets to go home! I know she is anxious for that day. It's been a roller coaster over here. But I've never experienced such faithfulness and peace from the Father then in these last few weeks. Prayer is so powerful. The body of Christ was so evident and such a beautiful gift. My entire family has been able to witness the truth of that. Now, we are ready to be able to just look back at this, and be stronger and closer because of it all! My Mama is coming home soon. I couldn't be happier :)

From my instagram that day:
"My Daddy waiting for his bride after surgery. The doctor said he went in and couldn't find anything that the x-rays had been showing! The Lord has answered all of our prayers. He has been so faithful and we cannot stop praising Him! Thank you for all your love for her! Our God is greater."

And then.... I went to Guatemala! YOU GUYS! My heart is so full. I can't even describe to you how incredible and life changing the trip was. As soon as I can I'll post pictures and stories. So many moments broke my heart, but encouraged me to love and serve all the more. I can't wait to share :)
